FCW Engineering: Affordable Camper Van Conversions
At FCW Engineering, we specialize in converting used panel vans and box trucks into budget-friendly camper vans. We work with a variety of models, including the Renault Master, Mercedes Sprinter, Ford Transit, VW Crafter, VW Transporter, and Opel Movano. Our conversions cater to families, couples, and solo adventurers, providing all the essentials for your journey.
Our Conversion Services Include:
We install a leisure battery system to power your fridge, water pump, USB ports, 12-volt power points, and lighting. The leisure battery is charged by both the vehicle’s electrical system and a solar panel, with the vehicle battery isolated to ensure a reliable engine start.
We use non-flammable fiber, aluminum foil block, and expanding foam to insulate the roof and side panels. This insulation helps regulate the interior temperature and provides a sound barrier.
Our conversions feature timber flooring covered with linoleum or carpet, and side walls and ceilings clad in wooden sheets, which can be carpeted or painted for a cozy atmosphere.
We build and install various sleeping bunks, including foldable bunks and multifunctional furniture that doubles as tables or seating. Ample storage space is integrated for your personal belongings
Our kitchen units include a gas hob cooker with self-ignition and safety shut-off. The gas supply is from a securely stored cylinder, vented to the outside. We also provide storage compartments for cooking utensils and cutlery, and a fresh water tank (up to 120 liters) for the sink, shower, and toilet.
Our campers are fitted with diesel air heaters, complete with remote control, ensuring you stay warm without having to leave your bed.
We install Thetford cassette toilets with electric flush systems, gas-fired water heaters for hot showers and sink use, and a grey water collection tank mounted under the van for easy emptying at disposal facilities.
Slim, adjustable roof rails and bars are designed to minimize noise and vibration while accommodating kayaks, boats, or surfboards.
Our custom-built bike racks are designed to fit into a bracket system attached to a tow bar at the rear of the van. Additionally, we offer motorbike racks that can support a variety of motorbikes, from lightweight scooters to larger motocross bikes.
We offer tow bars with 7-pin sockets for towing trailers, allowing you to bring extra gear like scuba equipment or a trailer tent for additional sleeping space.
We are open to your ideas and will do our utmost to incorporate any specific requirements you have to enhance your camper van experience.
